    Question 100-4 alarm a diff over z

Bought lb15 w/5000l-g started getting dif over z . found lube pump bad. changed out pump checked flow, good. reset parameters for pump all good lots of lube coming out. ran parts for a day all good, next day diff over non stop z & x. Little reluctant to call local [so cal] Okuma dist as it took there last guy 4hours to jump out the lns barfeeder that came with it. Of course this machine was sold to me as working great until shop closed doors. Any ideas on what to do now?

So, it took the guy 4 hours to jump out a autoloading barfeeder, and you think thats too long? How many have you done? Then you decide that you know how the lube system works, so "ill just turn up the lube cycle"?? Your in big trouble allready and don't even know it. Did you replace the lube manifolds? Check pump pressure? Look for broken lines? Those systems are not like a oil pump on a car, they do have metering.

And to answer the question on the diff over, could be sticking axis, encoders, power supply, amplifiers, ways, ballscrews, bearings, or it just plain not getting the lube where it's supposed to go.

Pulled all manifolds and completely cleaned out, pulled all the lines and blew them out to make sure of no blockage.reset parameters to book.had 907 alarm originally. when machine is running it is accurate and parts repeat well. It will sometimes run all day with no alarms then will diff over every time.when it alarms no lights come on on the boards in the cabinet. What should I do from here?

My guess is you have a power supply going for the bld drive units. can't diagnose further without being there to put a recording meter on it.

Underthetire is correct. To many things here could be wrong. If you are absolutley sure the lube is ok then start with the gibs, screws, bearings on the screws etc. Diff over almost always points to a bindage somewhere. I.E you told the machine to go here but it only went this far. check your load meter when the machine is giving the Diff over. You should notice a larger than normal load if there is bindage. You may have what is called "stick slip" occuring although you have stated the lube is fine. If the Gibs are not slipping, the screws and bearings are ok and your lube is fine then maybe the encoder is going bad. look at your RAPA and RCON data and see how far off the machine is when in alarm state.

electronic based reason is less likely, than mechanical one. Machine needs to be leveled properly on proper basement.
Guideways are twisted in case of improper leveling, it's harmful.
back to the electronics. Check if there are some overheating components on drive units. Do You need a picture?
