    HELP!! DEBURRING IN THE MACHINE

My GM wants to start deburring in the machine. We machine 1018, deburring .375" and .484" drilled holes in a valve cavity. Cavity dims are 1.190" and 1.502", one .484" hole drills out on a 17 deg ramp. This 17 deg is between the 1.502" and the 1.190" its .500" long. The burrs are heavy, I'm pushed for productivity so the drills are running fast. Machine is a Makino A71. Thanks

You might look into Cogsdill deburring tools. They're made for in-process deburring. Some deburr while pulling back through a hole as well as pushing in.

I have tried the ones that are spring loaded and they worked on about 3 holes and it twisted off. I'm going to try the flip cut next. Thanks
