So why did you have to go and drag it in here?
Nope, not at all. I use Road Runner and RR allows you to make sub Email addresses. I have a few and one is Spamedalotonmeetc. As a throw away address, when it becomes swamped with crap advertising, I delete it and the spam goes away. Just make a new sacrificial email address and carry on. I NEVER use my main E address for any web sites that want registration. Stop registering at the nudy sites and you should be okay.:nono:
Actually,
I use my work email completely for work purpose and work purpose only. I have a hotmail, yahoo and gmail address for personal issues. Somehow they have been coming to my work email address now.

Well I have a few aliases with my main address so maybe it got caught that way. But anyways, my question was, does anyone else get these emails?
Rodney Hill
Everyone gets them. Our company email is on our website for customers to contact us; needless to say we get hundreds of these emails.
But be glad you are not a publically listed company on the stock market. Because of the legislation that was put in place after Enron and Worldcom these companies have to keep records of every email received; that is every email. The mind boggles at the hundreds of thousands or millions of these emails that are archived on corporate databases.
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.
Its gotta make you wonder though, do they actually sell anything by this kind of advertising ?
Most people I know find this stuff plain old stupid and wouldn't touch it with a 40 foot pole.
I am also lucky to get the stock market junk companies that are going to do incredible things any minute, so I should invest all I have as quick as I can... well it came through the email so it must be true... yeah right !
And yes, I get those Viagra ones as well.
Russell.
Oh yeah, the disturbing thing is that people still fall for that one, I was watching a current affairs show a couple of weeks back and they were showing people that got sucked in, I don't see how people could be so stupid.
The really sad thing was that after they realised they were ripped off, they continued to send more cash anyway, just in case it was all true.
Like the old saying, if it seems to good to be true...
Russell.
I'm not a scammer, but I don't see anything wrong with the Nigerian scam.
If you can find someone dumb enough to give you free money, would you take it?
.
Yeah, well a fool & his money soon do part.
.
Well supposily one of the top 10 Spammers in the world got caught and busted. They claimed that all america would notice 1/3 of junk mail go down. I havent noticed any difference. Also, what emails was that scammer sending? These viagara ones are about the only ones that i get. Probally 5-10 a day.

Dear All,
Just for a giggle, you could do worse than log on to this website that scams the scammers.....

Be carefull doing that...Make sure you read all the warnings about baiting.
Never give out a real address,name,or e-mail.
Advanced fee fraud is big bussiness these days and it's not just Nigeria, they do have contacts all over the world.
Especially if you live in the UK,be carefull what you tell the scammers.
Most scammers get your e-mail addy from guest books.
