    Deflection

    I have a question about deflection.
    I have a design of a zaxis slide.
    3/8 by 4 by 24
    vs
    3/8 by 5 by 24


    cold rolled 1018
    vs
    6061 alum
    how do u calculate flex in these peices of metal?
