I have been learning a lot about cabling and connectors for steppers, but what about servos?
I bought a used X2 mini-mill with an IMService DeskCNC kit that was never put together and which didn't come with any cabling or connectors. Can I use a 6-conductor cable for the power and encoder leads? Or do I need to use a separate cable for the encoders, perhaps something shielded or twisted, to prevent signal interference?
I'm thinking about
using this quick connector at the motors, but I'm open to other suggestions.
I'm going to connect the other cable ends directly to the screw down terminals on the driver and controller boards. Once everything is running satisfactorily and I finally decide on an enclosure, I may or may not add quick connects at the controller end.
Any specific suggestions for parts or sources would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
