I'm a Canadian engineering undergrad trying to build his first cnc router. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions so please don't (nuts) me for asking something stupid!

looking forward to meeting some fellow cnc heads :rainfro:

There are 2 types of stupid questions.

    1. You were too lazy to do a quick search to find the answer on the web or the zone.
a lot of the basic questions have been answered multiple times and all you have to do is look.

    2. You didn't ask when you couldn't find it.

A great question goes like this. I am looking to do X.
I searched the zone and found Y. Is there any thing else I need to know?
I see it says Q but I am not sure what it means.

This type of question shows that you took the time to do some reasearch and are smart enough to ask more questions.

    Just my 2 cents.
    Mike

Damn. My father told me "There are no stupid questions. Only stupid people." of course he also told me he invented the exclamation point.. :-)

I agree with Mike, a quick search here has saved me a few times.
