To enable an Okuma 5000 or 5020 with a BL-D or BDU drive removed, jump pins 13,14 & 10 on CN1 (connector that goes to the circuit board) together to mask any alarm. Then jump 19 & 20 on CN10 (goes to the drive base) connector together to enable the bulk Power supply. MAKE SURE YOU GOT THE RIGHT PINS, OR YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR MACHINE. Great way to use a machine with just the upper turret or without an A axis.

To enable an Okuma 5020 with BL2-D drive removed, jump pins 8 to 10 on the XB1 connector(s). For a dual drive you have to jump both connectors. We do this all the time so we can test one BL2-D5050A dual axis drive on our 4 axis Okuma 5020 control. We rebuild & exchange almost all Okuma servo drives.
