    Fanuc 6T-B Geometry offset

I have an old Yam-CK2 lathe with a Fanuc 6T-B control. Does anyone have any information on activating geometry offsets??

    Ok. Back. Dinner was good.

What exactly is the issue? Basic tool offset pairs or nose radius comp?

Well, since yesterday when I said it's a good thing I ate first, I've had another 4 meals.

I guess it just wasn't that important. Or maybe mom took away his internet privileges.

The problem is that I just bought this machine and it does not have geometry offsets. Without this feature the the tools are defined within the program with a G50. This is stoneage, even my older machine with a 3T control has these offsets. I'm looking to activate this feature.

    Thanx

From what I found out it is a bit#2 of a parameter#302 but I'm unable to change it. I talk to someone abut it, and he said that I have to upgrade memory from 8k that I have now, to at list 32k. Can any one confirm that?

Sounds logical that an offset register will take up memory capacity

So probably you will have to pay both for a memory board and for unlocking of the parameter

Good start. But you still have to unlock and change the parameter. Now you can use the saved money on the used board on Fanuc helping you if no helpful competent angel appears. Good luck !
