    Caps

    Hello Everyone,

Since I've moved my mill to its new location and its new power hookup I have a little problem.

The motor won't fully start on its own. I need to give the spindle a little spin with my hand to get it running. From there on its fine.

Do I need to change the value of the starting capacitors to another value?

    Thanks

It could be a cap, but, I'd check all the wiring first REAL GOOD !
that means everything associated with the wiring as well.

sounds like your start cap is shot or not hooked up. there are two capacitors on the motor. one is a run cap and the other is the start cap. i believe the start cap is the bigger one. Not size but capacitance.
