Bridgeport BOSS troubleshooting for Axis not moving

“This procedure to be done if you are having problem with 1 Axis”

1. These fuses can be shorted to a point where the give high readings. Check to be sure the voltage is about 8-9 volts. Swap Axis fuses (both) and test for movement. If it moves, you have a bad fuse. Fuses should read 0.5 ohms -+ a bit.

2. You can swap the SMD cards to test for a bad SMD card. If you swap cards, and the problem moves to another Axis, you have generally found a bad transistor on that board. Component level testing would be required now.

3. You can also flip the ACC board, the electronics are
reversible. If you swap cards, and the problem moves to another Axis, you have found a bad power transistor. Component level testing would be required now.
