    Swapping vector drives

Hey, does anyone out there know if you have two vector drives with the same model number, would it be an easy swap? Or would there be reasons why you would not try this.

I have two Fadal 4020HT's both with the same model vector drives, one drive went bad(sending out for repair when budget permits) and the other machine has backlash/ballscrew issues. I need to try to make two into one good mill, for the time being.

    Any input is welcome. Thanks.

    2. I believe there is a procedure for swapping if you have rigid tapping
We have had good luck with our Fadals milling mostly soft steel and aluminum up to 5 axis. We are always looking for spare parts If you have a broken down Fadal give a shout.
