    Workaround for alarm 186? G81 with spindle stopped

    I need to run a G81 cycle on multiple points with the spindle not running. I am getting alarm 186 (Spindle not turning)

    Anyone know if there is a workaround for this?

    do you have a pause in there?if so take it out? I think the pause goes by spindle revolutions?

    well scratch that, I just did it on my machine (took out the M03 and the S12000) and the spindle came on automatically.
    learn something new everyday.

    Do you have spindle orientation? Even if you do not, try M19 P0.0 just before your G81.
