    Unhappy Swapping an axis

    Hi,
My Galil DMC1846 card has developed a fault with the 2nd(Y) axis.
Is it possible to tell CamSoft Pro to use the spare unused (A) axis on my card to become the Y axis so that I can carry on using my machine?

    Thanks,
    Greg

If you have 4th axis there should be no problem.
You have to swing the encoder over etc.
Make sure it is not a encoder problem or damaged cable that caused the Y axis problem in the first place?

    Hardware - no problem.

Software - I don't know of a way to swap the y with the a axis easily. It would take a lot of rewrite and commands like G2 and G3 might give real trouble.

I'd ask the experts at Camsoft, maybe there's a way to swap the definition of the fourth axis from a to y. I'd like to know the answer.
