New Conversational CNC Milling Software Release

Kentech Inc. is pleased to announce the release of our new and enhanced version of our KipwareM® - Conversational CNC Programming Software for Milling. Since it’s initial release back in 1999 … Kipware® conversational has allowed hundreds of shop floors to realize the end of “CAD/CAM overkill” to become leaner and more efficient.

Building on customer feedback and from their “wish lists”, the new version of KipwareM® really takes conversational programming to the next level with great new features built in a state-of-the-art user interface. Here are just a few of the major changes we have built into the new version of KipwareM®.

*** Completely New and Updated User Interface
Using the power of Microsoft’s new .NET Version 4 Framework … the new KipwareM® employs a vastly new and improved user interface. The new KipwareM® is built on the latest technology for the future.

*** Conversational Editing of Previously Created Cycles
Any standard shape cycle created using the KipwareM® conversational, fill-in-the-blank forms can now be recalled and will appear once again in the conversational form. That means no G code experience is required as all programming can now be done through the conversational menus.

    *** Load - Edit - Copy – Re-Order
Users can easily LOAD previously created cycles from disk … EDIT them in the conversational menus … COPY cycles and quickly and easily edit them to create completely new cycles … and even change the ORDER of cycles in the Tree.

*** Rough and Finish Milling All In One Menu
New milling menus include both roughing and / or finishing in one menu. No need to program a roughing cycle then a finishing cycle … everything can now be done now in one menu.

    *** User Defined Cutting Direction
Users can select CW or CCW cutting for all milling cycles … individual direction can be selected for both roughing and finishing. For example … select CW for roughing and CCW for finishing.

    *** Auto Cutter Compensation
When finishing is selected for any milling cycle … the cutter compensation option can be selected and will be included automatically by KipwareM® which will calculate and determine the start up move and include it in the finishing cycle.

*** Enhanced Drilling Menus / Inputs
Drilling menus have been vastly redesigned and improved for faster and easier data entry and with much greater flexibility.

    *** Integrated Toolpath Plotting
Using the vastly enhanced KipwareTP® option … users can select to plot an individual cycle or all the cycles in the Program Tree right from within KipwareM® as the program is being created.

*** Includes the Vastly Enhanced Kipware® SketchPad for Non-Standard Shapes
We have continued to enhance the Kipware® SketchPad from it’s original release last fall and the SketchPad® has become a state-of-the-art conversational CAM application … and is still included FREE as part of our Kipware® conversational packages.

*** Includes Our New and Improved Text Editor
Working in the .NET 4 Framework has allowed us to build the next generation of the Kipware® TEXT EDITOR … and it is included in the new KipwareM® as well.

If you’ve shopped for new CNC equipment in recent years you probably have noticed that many control makers now tout the conversational feature. The problem is that their applications are tied to CNC controls … tied to machinery on the shop floor … and are severely limited by the non-PC environment of the CNC control. Kipware® conversational, on the other hand, makes full use of the latest and greatest PC based technologies to take conversational programming from an after-thought sales tool to a fast, efficient real world programming tool. In todays economy and with todays’ workforce … real world tools like KipwareM® are required now more then ever to eliminate inefficiencies and CAD/CAM OVERKILL from our manufacturing.

We are excited about the release and new real world features we have built into the new KipwareM®. We invite you to visit KipwareM Conversational Programming Software for CNC Milling Manufacturing and spend some time viewing the new presentation video of KipwareM® on our website … or register for our informational Webinar to view and experience the new KipwareM® live on your PC.

Thank You to CNC Zone and all it's members for their great contributions to manufacturing, CNC and metalworking in general ... and for the opportunity to post this release.

    Update - Auto-Rotation Now Standard with KipwareM®

KipwareM now contains a ROTATION feature. By simply inputting an angle of rotation in the conversational menus ... any shape can be auto-rotated at any angle. What does that mean :

    (1) Engrave TEXT at any angle.
    (2) Have a GRID PATTERN of holes rotated to any angle automatically.
    (3) Take the toolpath to rough / finish a RECTANGULAR POCKET / BOSS and have it rotated to any angle.

    ... and more !!

We are really excited to offer this feature standard with all versions of KipwareM® - Conversational CNC Programming Software for Milling.

COMING SOON : 3D shapes such as tapered holes ... cones ... troughs ... and more ... programmed using conversational, fill-in-the-blank menus.

    Thanks CNCZone !!
