    Spindle Tool Unclamp Timeout

    Hi

    We have a Hardinge VMC 600 II with Siemens 810d. I now have a fault 700133 - Spindle Tool Unclamp Timeout. This error keeps coming up. I thought it was having problems unclamping the tool but it is doing it with no tool even in the spindle.

    Anyone any ideas what the problem may be???

    Any help would be appreciated..

    It sounds like the knockout switch is not working correctlly (control not getting finsh signal). There are two switches found under the cylinder on top of the spindle. 1 tells when the tool is lock in the spindle. The other tells when tool is unlocked. You might need to adjust the unlock switch.
