    high pitch sound

Well thanks to a lot of people on this forum I finally got my J325 mill up and running. Thanks for all your help. When I turn my machine on I notice a very high pitched noise coming from the machine. I cant narrow down exactly where it is coming from but I did notice when I move the axis's it gets a little louder. It is very high pitched... enough that I where ear protection. Any ideas. Parts and smarts said it might be coming from the servo motors. Thanks

Either servo motors or servo drive cards in the cabinet. Power down, pull the brushes out of the motors and blow them out with air. A fog of black crap will fly, so don't put your face in the way. Report back. You may need to tune the servos.

How hard is it to pull the brushes out and blow then out?
