Tree Journeyman 325 spindle speed problem

I have a Tree Jouneyman 325 with a delta 20 control, which works fine except if i program to make a thread from a position event the spinlde turns the right speed in the clockwise direction but when it reverses and retracts the spindle turns slower, but retracts the same speed it was going down. Can someone tell me how to fix this up? Am i programing something worng or is it a problem of the spindle unit? Help would be appreciated.

Probably not a programming issue, it's more likely the spindle drive not running the same speed in CW and CCW.

Verify this by programming the spindle CW, using an M3 code, at a your tapping speed, then measuring the actual speed with a tach. Program the spindle CCW, using an M4 code, at the same speed and measure the actual speed again. The speeds should match within a few RPMs. If they don't, you need to adjust your spindle drive.

Thanks for the help. I have a manual for the spindle and it gives directions on how to adjust the speed for CW and CCW but it does not seem to work. Can you give me directions on how to make the adjustment? Maybe it is that I dont understand the manual.

Please tell us the manufacturer and model number of the spindle drive. I am not that familiar with adjusting drives, particularly for spindles, but if you post this information, perhaps someone else can answer your question.

According to my findings in the spindle drive cabinet it is a fanuc. THe plate has the following information:
    AC SPINDLE SERVO UNIT
    TYPE NO. A06B-6059-H002
    MFG. NO. F7Y-1077

    FANUC LTD MADE IN JAPAN

If you need more information please tell me and I'll try too find it.

In all my years with working on trees, never seen a fanuc spindle drive, or fanuc anything on a j325. Standard drive would have been a yaskawa, unless you have a rare machine.
