why ? can not send file CAM more than 130 KB.

DNC-B is an option on okuma.....this is really annoying

and i never find a way to read g-code directly on the FD0 drive

our VR-40 can only run 16k program, it's a PITA to fit CAM G-code in that machine, you got to post the cleanest code possible ans do a lot of hand editing to remove thew unnecessary lines


but the newer p200 control got 32GB of memory space

Yes, this is one of the major hurdles of an Okuma,
If the options list is not really thought out on the initial purchase, there will come a time that these problems show themselves, and it is usually when you need it.

there is a few option available to look at
Machine side
-fit DNC-B option
-increase memory capacity
-use TM-APT ( Okuma programming ) for simpler program creation on the machine

Programming & Strategies
-use Z-level stategies ( eliminate 3-axis machining except for the most basic shapes. ie do ramp holes etc, do not ramp area clear complex shapes)
-use subroutines if possible
-ensure your CAM outputs arcs ( not point to point )
-coarsen your surface tolerances to shorten the amount of NC code
-understand what strategies would giv shorter code ( ie say a U channel, cutting across the U will give more NC code than cutting along it. )
-using "schedule programs" to join long programs together ( programs can be stored on floppy- but that program piece must still fit into memory before it can be run )

at the very start of computing era Okuma went other direction. The "microsoft" and company started heavy cloggy programming, which hardware demands are rising rapidly. Okuma chosed the way, when a person knows, what he (she) is doing. So we have the result. Everyone knows, how microsoft style software works. Working with Okuma You understand, what You're doing.
