I have been trying to extrude a gear with thru pockets without success.
It's like it turns into a shell from a solid. I can extrude the gear and one
hole thru the center fine but when I add the triangle thru pockets...

Well hell, I tried to upload a zip of the project file but it want let me. error #2038

I do not know if this is similar to what you are trying to do.For this example I first extrude the triangles 1 inch.Next I extrude the gear and center hole 1/2 inch.Then do a boolean subtract,and that's it.Yeah the Zone has issues since the Upgrade it did the other week.

Got it!
I had to clean up my rounded pie shapes that I created with arcs and tangents with quick trim (overlaps).
Once I done that and selected the solids in the proper order I was successful.

Also I tried to post my project file and was unable to.
