I've tried (and also modified) your code and can now get it to work, so I'm pleased to have made progress.
I'm sure this will be much simpler than writing a VB macro.
Thanks for introducing me to AWK and all your help.
I'm sure some other CNCers will also see the benifits.

Good to hear you got the macro to do what you required.
Did you look at the AWK program that Eauth offered?
Also did any of the Gcode editor programs do what you required?
Looks like you learnt how to run macros in word and I was introduced to AWK.
A good post for both of us.

In your post file there should be something like a circle/quadrant setting.

It's been a long time...

I have found this perfect program for editing programs...it comes with Surfcam...I should have thought of it earlier

Anyone ever tried using EditNC? I'm not sure how it works without the Surfcam Key (serial or USB) but it's incredible. I use it just about every day now

I'm not sure how many people actually use Surfcam...
