I'm blind to those things, and thats why there is so much crap in our living room in the first place!

Would be great if you could get some pros to do it for you.

Surface grinding means nothing if the parts are warped and the magnetic chuck sucks them flat. As soon as the magnet is turned off, the warp comes right back. The parts need to be shimmed when grinding so the warp is ground out. Using sand paper and a surface plate keeps the parts relaxed so the sanding removes the warp.

Well that sucks! Drinking - Casino. Not both at the same time.

You would have spent the same amount of money on drinks alone in Norway!

Sorry guys. Didn't make it to the machine shop. Things at work kinda slowed down. I will get to it
But I do have something else on my kitchen table now. Seriously, kitchen table

    Aluminum cylinder and aluminum piston.
What to do? I have read that you should never hone an aluminum cylinder wall. . . Ideas?

It is nikasil plated , You can have it replated or sleeved (Steel).

Example only not a recommendation :

Cylinder Repair, Head Repair, Cylinder Replating Services by Millennium Technologies
