    Lead screw set up help

    I have 1/2-10 acme screw and I am having trouble securing it
    On the motor side I have it going through a 1/2 bearing block, have the antibacklash nut secure to X axis and on the other end I have the screw through a mounting flange. I dont have a 5/16 end bearing block to use so I just run the excess through the mounting flange. I have tried using to steel nuts to secure the screw but either its to tight and the screw wont turn

    What are the steel nuts clamping onto? Do you have thrust bearings in your setup? For our lead screw set ups, we recommend a sandwich of thrust bearings around the main bearing block, as shown in this build log from Glacial Wanderer:
