It is not stored in the XML file.

The SprutCAM.dsk file load the defaults. In this file mine is set to load SprutSetup.cfg as my config file.

    Configuration=$(PROGRAM_APPDATA)\SprutSetup.cfg

Inside my config file (SprutSetup.cfg) I have import tolerance set to .0001

    <Import_CrvImportTolerance>0.0001</Import_CrvImportTolerance>

Yet when I start SprutCAM and go into setup and even though it lists SprutSetup.CFG as the current file. The import tolerance is set to .01

If I then tell it to load SprutSetup.CFG the tolerance is changed to .0001
So there must be a bug in the program.

Thanks for the correction. Hope I didn't steer anyone wrong for too long.

Do you have more than one "SprutSetup.CFG" file on your system?

Nope and just to make sure I was looking in the correct directory I had it create a new file and if you delete the default one it will recreate it in the same directory. sO I know I am in the correct directory it just does not seem to parse the config file correctly.

So far that looks MUCH better. I also like how it is much more detailed on the simulation. When doing engraving is there a way to make the tool centered on the edge or do you have to set a negative stock? Also when there is nested edges what is the easiest way to keep the tool from cutting between them? Like this..

    1. We will add the base surface feature into 2d contouring operations in the nearest future.

    2. I am not sure, the image looks like a bug. Could you post the project please?

    It's not a bug, it's just a "Short link".

Open the operation parameters panel -> Transition, and set the <Short link> option to 30% of the tool diameter instead of default 300%,
or set the <Stepover type> on the same page to <Via safe plane> instead of default <On surface>.

    Double post..

I had to come back to say THANK YOU!! once again and say that the engraving job worked flawlessly and this new version is MUCH better than the last one I was using. No more lockups even!!

    Thanks!!

    Engraving without offsetting

In the latest builds (http://download.sprutcam.com/downloa....2.39989rc.exe) we have added the <Contact Point> option into engraving operations.

If you want to trace contours without any offsetting in an Engraving operation, just set the tool contact point to the tool tip.
