Angry Help on SYNRAD Firestar V 30

I have a Spirit GE - 30w (3 years old) that recently under the power output is unstable that's mean when I try to engrave or cutting with power 40% the output power is about 10% on-stream. Also when I set the power up to 80% on cutting sometimes the output power is missing and then appear. I try to check the PWM signal on mainboard and it seems correct also the DC powersuply output is 30V that is correct too. My laser tube is SYNRAD Firestar V 30.

Hi Everyone. I'm new to this thread, but I'm glad it's here. I've got an old Synrad E48-2-28SW laser, which does not fire. It's got a secondary laser for aiming and it works fine. I called Synrad, but they won't deal with me, cause the laser was made in 1994. Photo Vac in Ohio would recharge it for $1500. I'm wondering if there are some steps I could do to at least start to troubleshoot it. I can measure 28 volts on the input. There are two extra wires going into the laser, which I presume will fire it, but nothing happens if I connect them. Any ideas are appreciated. Thank you. A.

28V DC is too low. Should be 30V DC.
    Sometimes 28V is not enough.

You also need 5V DC signal to start lasing.
Make some pictures of your "extra wires"

Hi Cinematic. Thanks for the notes, I really appreciate it. Measured voltage again. It was 30.7 volts. not drifting. There are two heavy gage wires, red and black

Black is grounded to the laser extruded frame, red goes to the fuse. fuse is checked OK. Two more wires come thru the cover plate. coming in as red/black connected to white/black. I contacted the two of the together but the laser did not fire. Do you have a schematic how to connect the 5V to them? Thank you. A.

Heavy wires are for power (30V DC).
Another two wires are for 5V DC or PWM work signal.
Black is 5V DC GROUD (or PWM -)
White is 5V DC POSITIVE (or PWM +).
5V DC is only to check the laser.
If you want to work you need PWM Signal + Tickle Signal.
Another problem with your 48-2 is back cover. It is missing.
Normally there are 2 diode indicators showing laser state.
I do not know actuall wiring situation without this cover.
On the left side there is DB9 connctor (computer like) for remote control
There should be special sticker closing circuits.

Regards and take care. Working laser is not a toy. It may hurt.
