    Just a tidbit of info as far as cable are concerned. I've always used a simple NULL modem cable to transfer data then set appropriate paramaters.

    They gotta be crazy! There's about $2.00 dollars worth of TTL chips on it and a couple of other chips that couldn't cost much, if they can be found. Wish I had a schematic
    unfortunatelly, Okuma does not provides .... That's what I do - in case, when there are just several components I replace them all by new. In case some transformers and Okuma microcircuits are present I draft diagram by myself and I seek if known components work well. The result is without any waranty, however ...

    no success sending a program from the PC to the Okuma. Sending from the Okuma to the PC works just fine
    Check, if ports are selected properly.
    NC optional parameter (word) parameters #43, 44, 45 =0 [CN0: is selected port for output by default]
    NC optional parameter (word) parameters #57 =1 [CN0: is selected port for input by default]
    (this is for machining center, 54 instead of 57 is for lathe)
