If the coolant stain will not wash off with either acetone or methanol don't go any further because it is actually etched into the metal. This is particularly the case with the black stains that form under vises and things bolted to the table for a long time.
You could polish it off using Scotchbrite but in doing this you are removing metal and this is definitely not a good idea.
