    More On Drill Sharpener.

    Thanks Ian & Neil.

    Ian,

    Could give some indicative dimensions. Say the lengtj across the flat back, the length of the sides the length to the flat on the front, the flat on the front and the distance between the flats, I guess the bearings could be 22mm skate bearings. From these measurements I will be able to draw the shape in Autocad.

    Smile 3D CAD, CNC file & PDF

    Heres all the design details and a CNC program to cut outline.
    It is smaller than you think. Those bearings are 8mm x 2.8 with a 1/8" hole.
    Strange angled flats are reference faces to locate the tapped holes, and make it nice to hold. Not on the drawing clearly is the 3.175 mm hole precision size reamed hole.

    good 2 see

    so many sensible people in the world still!! bit sharpening machines HAH! those are the sharpened bits that never cut right! I've found drill bits last about 25x longer when there's a good rock in the shop!(and people that know how to use it)(nuts)
