I agree with you guys, it isnt a bad price at all for what you get. I was just noting, based on the sellers pitch of it being "hobbyist" priced, that it is far from hobbyist priced.

I personally believe a servo drive, that does not have all the fancy features, that would be perfectly suitable for most of the hobby machines out there could be produced far cheaper.

I work for a company that designs and builds electric vehicle motors and drives. Our servo drives for our 3 phase brushless DC motors arent even that expensive to produce, with the exception of the power stage which is a huge honker of an IGBT block, however with a power stage of a hobbyist machine proportion it wouldnt even cost as much and it has basically the same functionality.
