Hi All,
I have a problem and not sure what the next step should be.
My controller is flashing BAT. We have changed the batteries and it still flashes.
We had Fanuc in and they replace all the boards and it still flashes.They had no ideas as to the cause and left.
I have stared and the electrical book for hours looking for a timer or what else could be generating this alarm.
I cannot seem to find anything.
Has anyone here had a problem like this before and if you did what was your fix?
Real poor practice to leave the machine on 24/7 when its used once per week for 8 hours.

The battery is in the power supply unit (right-most one). The battery monitor circuit is most likely there too. The 'battery low' signal most likely goes to the main cpu board (A16B-2200-0900) via the back plane. These are the most likely places to look.

Well I thought I solved my problem by selling the machine. Wrong People came back and asked me to look into a new issue
They have wired up the machine and now when it powers up the controller only shows that the SLOT CONFIG and shows ),1 and 2 with numbers but nothing more.
In the back however I checked the Battery and its good, The PIL light is greel on the Power Supply
The Main CPU Board however shows a problem
On the status lights # 2 is not lit. On the alarm lights though #2 is red.
By the books I am not sure but I think the issue is the machine is waiting for other CPU's answers (ID setting)
What is my next step to solve this? Thanks for the help.

You were exactly right, A break in the back plane that was almost invisible. Repaired it and machine came back to life.
Reloaded the parameters and the Password protected parameters and machine works.

Bom dia, estou exatamente com o mesmo problema no meu Fanuc 16TT, substitui a bateria mas mesmo assim não para de piscar.
Podem ajudar.
Não encontro falha.
