Blaser is good stuff but it goes rancid fast if you don't maintain it. it also tends to stain brass unless you rinse the parts off with water.

I don't know much about anything but I know a little about everything....
I know this is an old thread, but I just found something nice...
Blaser sells a product called "Metal Deactivator" (#29107) that is specifically for discolouration problems caused by their coolant on brass and copper.
I asked their tech people how to solve a problem we were having with a heavy, dark, splotchy patina (and eventually corrosion) on some OFE copper parts we are running. He knew instantly what I was describing, and said this deactivator is the answer.
$20 for a 1-liter bottle of the stuff, and it only took 2oz to treat our HAAS VF-2 tank (40 gallons, I believe.)
The problem went away instantly.
