    Just my opinion but I would have put a vertical plate between those two gantry rails. Even a 3mm plate would of added hugely to the overall stiffness.

    My apologies, I was looking at the picture of the gantry being painted and thought that it was to be upright. With it down flat as you have it there is no issue.

    Great build btw.
