This machine was equipped with linear scale, but that's disconnected before I bought it. I did some backup restore, Maybe I need to change some parameters, in case the backup for x axis included linear scale being on?
But how would you do it?

I cannot tell from ur video anything. Too little data. If indeed x motor runs away then that may be caused by missing or bad scale. Is there a scale? If not, fives can send u a doc how to change to drive enc emulation output.

Sounds like ur drive, motor, motor cables are all good (or it would not have reversed dir and gone up again after ls). Prob most likely in bad or missing scale.

Hi Mike. Correct. The scale was unplugged and wires in bd4 "closed loop", but it still had scale feedback in axis setup. We change that to motor feedback and hurray no more jumps.
There's another issue, as soon as I start spindle, it " crashes " with SPINDLE OT ERR.

I found a guy locally who knows Cincinnati, hopefully he can sort it out.
    Thanks

U hve Mach diagrams? We brought ot vfs5 thermostat out of drive and back in an io point... special. Is that maybe not the original vfs5? Got full part no?

I finally solved this problem, no more spindle over temp on hawk 150.
It was a broken wire from r37 socket, that's thermistor from spindle motor.

Over the past year the battery for WS board failed, causing the bios to return to default settings.
    And that caused booting problem.

    https://youtu.be/ZYnPEAYThnE
WS board failed light was red on extension board BBB.
I read somewhere that acramatic a2100 needs to have proper bios settings.
So I messed with it and it starts now ok.
Here for future reference bios settings that work for me

One more thing to get it running. In mdi G97s100m3 works fine, and I can go to s3000 fine in 100 increments.
But the machine doesn't like to accelerate from 0 to 500 or more.

We think it's something around the spindle motor, there no ohms between 2 black cables. On my mill spindle motor shows 160 ohms.

99% of the time this is caused by defective PSR4/5 power supply. Suggest you begin searching ebay for a replacement PSR4/5.

I assume the black wires you refer to are the OT klixon sensor in spindle; should be near 0 ohms.

    You were right Mike.
Volts were dropping to 250V when it tried to accelerate. I changed a logic board in psr4/5 and it works fine now. Finally after over a year

    Thank you Mike for suggestions.

hi could you send me pics of motor feedback axis setup ,please

or someone who can tell me what parameters it should have for motor feedback, please

    thanks

Are the drives BDS4, Vector-Star, or Siemens? What release Software shows in the Service page.
The details make a large difference.
    SN 7051-A0x-yyyy ?
Model type Exx; or year of manufacture below on separate plate ?
    Control Diagram: 9120xxxxAyy ?
