    Red face okuma macturn osp10l

    Hi has anybody programed taillstock for okuma macturn , I can't understand how programed in automatically. I dont know how to programmed joint on , M189.
    i use G152 W100 but joint does want came out, something I missing. sorry for english. hard to explaned.

    No,it not working. I have that alarm when I want to move taillstock. I use code g152 w.... And alarm this....

    Going Waaaaay back in time... I worked on an Okuma LC20-M that had a programmable tailstock.
    I recall that you had to ZERO-SET the W axis position inline with the connection position.
    Had to manually align the pickup pin with the middle of the slot on the tailstock, i.e. wind the Z along until it was in position, manually extend the tow along pin (button on the control panel) and then move the tailstock forward or backward and then move in the opposite direction by 1.5mm to get the pin in the middle of the slot, there was 3mm backlash between the pin and the slot. Zero the W axis with what ever value you needed and away you went.
    Beyond that memory... nothing.
    Hope that kind of helps in some form.

    Sorry, when I stated it was way back, I mean over 20 years ago!
    The machine is long gone, sold for scrap I think, but might have the relevant manual still hanging around. I will take a look on Monday, but no promises.
