Hello all
I have a 6040 SX CNC and need some help with limit switches and computer spindle control. I have looked thru the threads but can't find anything with my board really listed .

My board is a JP-3163B

Anyone have the same and hooked up switches and the vfd to computer control?

Well after looking more on the internet, I figured out the limit switches, but still need help with the VFD.

Hi Walt,
I had a spindle control issue with my Chinese 6090, in my case I could not control the spindle speed with an m03, it would just ramp straight upto max. My fix was a rewire between the spindle control board and my sunvar vfd, not sure if yours is a similar issue, but if you search out my thread you'll see the resultant wiring diagram I had to adopt. May help may not ??

Do you know what I have to do to wire the VFD to my board? I found a pin marked 0-10V but do not know what else I need to hook up.

Well still can't get it to work. Now I can't seem to go back to using the potentiometer either. Get an error code E030 which the manual does not really explain that well. Anybody no how to get past that. Please!! I should have never messed with it. I have a Bridgeport running on Mach 3 and never had any trouble getting the spindle to work. I am really getting frustrated. Please help if you can, I just want to go back to how it was origanally.

On the mach3 forum I posted a few years ago my fix. I've just found it out..

Looks like I had wiring to the spindle control board and vfd to fix and Mach 3 settings...
On the final fix I included my xml and wiring diagram.
Take a look, I'm off out in a min but if the links don't work I'll find them out and send them directly.
Also check out that forum because others have had similar problems....
