Hello everyone. Sorry for not posting for a while. I got busy with money making jobs which is never a bad thing. I did however get some time this afternoon to pretty much finish up the table. I have 3 coats of poly on the edges and have now surfaced the second side of the table. I placed a sheet of melamine 4' x 5' in size on the table and turned on the vacuums. I couldn't move it. I applied a lot of force and it wouldn't budge. Very good sign. Next up is to find some time to actually cut something. Hopefully this weekend.

Good Morning All,

I finally took some time to try out the new table and I am happy to say it worked well. I cut a couple of stools for the shop out of some repurposed melamine I had. The material was about 45" x 60", enough to get 2 full stools out of it. I cut the 1st one and remove it from the sheet to test fit everything and once I was happy, I cut eh second one out of the remaining material. The effective material size for the second one was in essence 30 x 45. The smallest part cut was 12 x 12. I cut relative slow. 200 IPM at .26 DOC with a 1/4" compression bit. One of these days I will try it with a 1/2" bit, but I use the 1/4" compression bit for probably 80 percent of my cuts.
