Thanks Tkamsker.
I've been busy on organizing my place. I purchased a metal archiving shelve for my small garage hobby room. It is 3 meters wide and has 15 shelves in total. It helped a lot but I need more shelves. The bad thing my working desk don't fit to its place anymore. The shelve just left enough room for a 1m wide desk.
Anyway, no progress on the spindle since.
You sure are getting a lot done! It's impressive that you are not only doing the design, but you are actually getting to work and finishing this. Lots of people just think, but don't do. Great job!
Thank you very much but I can't take all the credit for my self. I get a lot help here and I appreciate it. On the other hand, I failed on the labyrinth seal. I didn't add the socket cap bolts to my drawings and the outer part of the labyrinth is now too thin to drill for the head of the bolts. Normally I have to cut the whole labyrinth again with correct dimensions but I this will throw me back 2 weeks so I think I'll use it as it is.
Hi again.
What type of lock nut do you recommend to use on the main bearings? I've been thinking about this but I don't know which to build/buy.
Hi,
KMT nuts - KMT precision lock nuts with locking pins. SKFs are expensive, however you can buy good quality on ebay.de for good money.

I'm going to cut a new labyrinth. It'll be like:
OK, err, do you know an online store that sells PTI products? I can't find any.
There are mostly SKD supliers here but I guess they sell other brands too. Thanks.
I bought (4) ballscrew locknuts from intra trading in the UK.
