Hi guys

I'm a Camworks newb and having a lot of trouble adjusting

Can someone please help me to understand why when I've set my first pass to be 3mm with a 3mm max and to be calculated equal, why it's doing this several passes?

The slot is only 5mm deep.

My head says that should make it 2x pass at 2.5mm each.

I think you have the % button on so that's 3% not 3mm?

It was pre set by default so I left it. It's one of a million things I need to "look up"

(decided to look up before entering post)

2 Axis Rough Pocket Wedge Machining

Purpose:

Eliminates unmachined wedge shaped areas that sometimes result when roughing with Pocket In or Pocket Out, where the step over is greater than 50% of the tool diameter.

Implementation:

The toolpath is modified automatically when wedges are generated for stepovers greater than 50% of the tool diameter.
