I am about to order my laser cutter and I need to choose between these 2 controllers. I will be cutting balsa and ply model airplane parts. Can anyone explain why I would want one over the other?

hello Adrian,
The RDC6442G is new to the 6332G.It can double plus scrap automatic typesetting features, support progressive feeding than 6332G.It has also other difference. You can find that on there website:SHENZHENREADER TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD
Hope can help you
Best regards,
Emily
Thank you for posting Emily. I don't know what "double plus scrap automatic typesetting" or "progressive feeding" means.

I couldn't see any compelling reason to choose the 6442 4 axis controller with less memory so I chose the 6332 because it has twice as many buttons to push. It also has twice the memory. The 6442 is for twin head lasers.

Sorry mate... I do not know. Air freight one in from China?
Adrian
I believe that the 6332 is a 3 axis and the 6442 is a 4 axis (one extra). LightObject.com sells a slightly modified 6442 as their R5 controller. The only difference I can see is you must use the LO version of RDworks V8- which looks/works exactly like the normal version. They are in California and I have ordered a couple controllers from them with no difficulties. Gene
The difference between RDC6442S and RDC6442G as follows:
RDC6442G only support one laser head, however, the RDC6442S support 2 laser head
RDC6442S is the most widely used Co2 laser laser controller
