    wiring a 220 volt capacitor start motor

    Hi , can anyone help me wire this 230 volt single phase motor? Thanks Tony

    Appears pretty straight forward, there should be a cap connected as indicated.

    I have attached everything included I tried connecting power to green/black and yellow and it didn't start .

    Was there a Hum or other noise?
    If there was a noise or hum, give the shaft a sharp spin and see if it starts.
    Measure across the AC in and check for resistance.

    Ok thanks so you think I have wired it correctly ? It didn't hum but will try turning it tmrw. Thanks!

    Normally you will get some response, either a hum or trip the breaker or both, if the start circuit is not working, a quick flick of the shaft at switch on should make it run if this is the problem.
