Hello Group, I recently had to recover from a computer crash. I reinstalled the program that I use to generate code for my fadal (ArtCam) I can send code to the machine but when I send a simple program to cut a circle the machine slows down or hesitates several times as it is going around. I seem to recall having to modify the post years ago but dont remember what I did to it. any ideas

What year is the machine? More important, what is your CPU board #?

I modified my post to always put out a G9 after each tool change. That cured the slows but beware that you might compromise the integrity of the geometry of your part. It may tend to round off corners at high feed rate. I do a lot of 3D surfacing and the default state of G8 can easily double the amount of cycle time.
