    Spost vs Mpost

I only use mpost, but sometimes the program gets wrong.
I'm 3D rough machining, if I use helix ramping instead of plunge ramping, the machine moves without changing tool.
I talk to support and they said that only happens using MPOST.
In this moment I have a HAAS VCE 500 and a FANUC 18iMB, does anyone have a SPOST file to those machines.

I dont understand, you have H0 on both examples.
You might have something wrong in your postprocessor,
it should correspond to the T-number.

If Mpost outpost your Toolchange like in your second example,
it is very strange. Can you post your Postform here?

    It is located in X:\Surfcam\Postlib

The post used is the same in both examples, what changes is the entry PLUNGE our HELIX.

Thats very strange. But you can build your own spost using
Spost configuration, in Start Surfcam menu.

I guess your post is very easy to configure.

Hi, forjaco, it shouldn't matter if you plunge, ramp or helix down.
I've tried your post and seems to be working Ok, (of course whit a simulated file). I'm attaching an m3 post that I've used for more than 10 years without problems. Should you come into another trouble, please post your scprt file to be analized and perhaps give you a rigth solution.

I agree, it should not have anything to do with the Mpost.
Something is bugging. If still a problem, is it possible for
    you to post the file?

Here is an Mpost with Linecode and Rapidcode. Maybe that will help.

Like I said before the problem isn't the post processor file. Is the way like Surfcam process it. The support said that if I use a SPOST instead of MPOST I will reduce this kind of problems.

I've been working and supporting Surfcam for more than 20 years, using almost exclusive Mpost, and never had a trouble like this.
Please post your scprt file so I can debug it and probably can give a solution.

Just in case I'm posting the full nc file.
You're using Surfcam 6, and the structure of the Pc directory is quite different from previous versions, the postform is located ( by default instalation) in C./users/public/surfcam/surfcam6/config/postlib/...( it may difers a little, as I have a spanish windows 7)
Please check and make sure you copied the post there.

And again; just looked at your file and wonder, you'll have a trouble when you'll try to finish this at the bottom section of R 1.5, marked in this picture with a red circle.
Must take care when create a drive curve surface, that your drive profile have a radius larger than the cross section R.

Now is OK. but this version 6 has a lot of problems.

    Now I found another:

I do a 2d Pocket with a sketch imported from solidworks and this was a result (889).
For bypass this a had to create a spline for create a correct toolpath (889_OK).

    Hi forjaco:

If by creating a spline your problem went away, it's not a SURFCAM problem, it could be your SW sketch.
Some times imported geom doesn't fit to well.
You may post here the SW sketch and let me take a look at. if so, I can submit it as a bug.
    Regards
    Mario
