    Santa brought me V25

I just got V25 via the Fedx man, well about 5 hours ago.

Bobcad had a special that gave me an extra seat. Go Bob!!

So far it's good. The CD was build 769 and works fine.

I imported my custom materials from V24. The cutting conditions in V25 are much easier to manipulate than V24.

I started from scratch for my tool crib. It looks like the new tool selection in V25 works clean.

The one single item that made me want to upgrade was the pre-view of sketches. You don’t know how many times I have draw a box, hit undo, then re-draw because I selected center ad not lower left. The new pre-view lets you see the box before it’s actually drawn.

I have some work to do with the tool crib. I like that I can set up a tool crib and the tool I want is the default selections as I create milling features.

I don’t see a way to define a 4th axis wrap like I had with V24 and V23. I opened a wrap project that I did in V24 and the stock defaulted to flat. Back plotting in Predator looked strange since the tool was cutting out in space,

Anyone use a 4th axis wrap in V25? Any tips or help would be appreciated.

Define the stock first with the stock wizard, then you right clcik the machine setup and add a "wrapping group"... To this you add the features. There is also an "index group" that can be added. Spend 5 minutes in the help file before you start one for the first time. It will just give you the proper workflow, so your not backtracking.

The help file did it. Thanks Burr.

It's a little more work than V24, but not too bad.

Yeah, with more power will come more responsibility. Start by aiming.. Point and shoot will have to be a couple days after that. Have fun Jerry.
