Questions about buying a Standard Router

I am looking at purchasing this router off ebay

    CNC ROUTER BY STANDARD ROUTER - 2 SPINDLE - 2' X 4' TABLE - W/DUST COLLECTOR | eBay

I can't find any info on this brand or model. I plan to use it to do alot of material removal with large bits so I need it to be stout and powerful. It does not need to have really great tolerances. I'll be hogging out deep pieces of hardwood with it.

    Thoughts?

"The owner retired, machine worked daily and was newly purchased?" No way! This machine looks ancient to me. Sorry but please investigate this machine thoroughly if you're interested in it. The build of the machine looks too old, the paint is chipped at many places, especially edges. There's no way this is a new machine. It's high probably surplus.

My guess is that it's 15 or more years old, and it would appear that the company is no longer in business.
Most likely you'd want to retrofit it with a modern PC control, which could cost anywhere from $1000 to $5000 or more, depending on your abilities, and how much you can re-use. My guess is that at best it has a PC control running DOS, but it probably has an old proprietary control.

It's probably a solid, heavy duty machine, but I wouldn't pay $12K for it. Maybe $5000-$7500, if I needed something with that size and capabilities. The two spindles alone probably cost $5000 or more when new, and might cost $1000-$2000 to rebuild if they need it.

Here's a video of a refurbished similar model. You might want to contact the company that did the refurb, as they may have some info on the original manufacturer.

It doesn't say it was new, it says it was new when it was purchased by the original owner.
