[BAD DOG]

Just bought a used 2000 puma 230s turned on the coolant and it comes out 2 stations above the in position tool.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why?? is there an adjustment? there is no spring loaded coolant port on the turret frame. like you see in some older machines.

The rotary union inside the turret is out of position or the seals are leaking. What type of turret is on the machine ? Bmt, vdi or standard non live?

it is a standard turret,,, block tooling,,,,,no live tooling, machine has sub spindle

I have a Puma 230MS that has been doing the coolant leak thing too. I thank you for the help. Can someone tell me how to sync the 2 spindles? I am having to wait until one of the spindles coasts down to finish my part in the second spindle.

got it fixed,,, all the o-rings were shot for the coolant going through the center of the turret,,,, AND THE DISTRIBUTION RING WAS TURNED TO THE WRONG PORT. I ordered new seals and had them replaced in 3 hrs. NO A HARD REPAIR.

I ALSO USED A LONG DRILL AND CLEANED OUT EACH PASSAGE TO EACH TOOL,,, I WAS SURPRISED HOW PACKED WITH CHIPS THEY WERE.

Have you tried the M205 (sync spindles off) command,,,,

G96 S300 M203 (SYNC SPINDLES ON AT 300 SURFACE FEET)
M205 (SYNCED SPINDLES OFF)

I'm programming a Daewoo Puma 230S I tried same line G96 S350 M203 got a 2055 alarm after reading the alarm fix added M31/M131 prior to that line still got it...
Any idea as to my problem???
