G34 Threading on an OSP 3000

    Hello,

Im trying to O.D. thread a 1.250 x 12 on an LC-30 Okuma lathe with OSP 3000 controls. Currently im using a G33 but i am having some chatter issues. I would like to put a lead angle in the program. It calls for a G34 to do this. The book is pretty vague when it comes to calculating everything out. Here is a sample of the G33 that i am currently using:

    G0G97S600T0606M3M8M44F833
    N321 X36379Z55110
    N322 Z54610
    N323 X13500
    N324 M23
    N325 G86
    N326 D0030E1000
    N327 G33X11478Z44110I0F833

    N328 G80
    N329 G0
    N330 M22
    N331 G0X36379
    N332 Z55110
    N333 M9
    N334 X120000
    N335 M02

    Any more questions please ask!!

    Thank you in advance!!

I have a question; why are you spamming a machining forum with crap for wireless mother boards? Try spamming us with **** for machinery we might fall for that. And specifically the Okuma forum? I guess I haven't checked the others yet, I will.

Probably just doesn't work on my iPad. Maybe this thing is actually good for something other than email after all

littlerob- That looks like it may be an auto-search function of the browser. The same link is inserted every time N330 appears. A similar link showed up for IPad. (unless you've both been inserting the links into your own posts to make a point, in which case I'll stfu and go away)

No, I am being totally serious. I'm actually relieved that you are seeing it too. (I'm not batty).

bbarber80, I'm sorry for being presumptuous, I thought the Amazo link was spam, I don't know what is going on, I have notified admin. about it though.

bbarber, what values are you programming with?

    snip>G33X11478Z44110I0F833

Your X value seems to be astronomically large. In MM or Inches same with your Z value, and your feedrate????

Robert, trying to help not bag your spamming just kidding

    relax littlerob.
    everyone sees the advertising too.
there's obviously a listing of key words that get auto-created links added. I've seen it a few times when I made some posts.
it's probably put there with a script by the admin of cnczone to generate money so they probably already know about it.......

This is from an Older controller and I guess they didn't like the decimal point. So notice up in parenthesis next to the line in question and you will see how it translates. It is a pain in the a.s!! It is Inches.

P.S.- If I were to spam you guys...I for sure wouldn't send you to any electronics!

btw in Firefox if you install the NoScript add-on you won't see any ads on **ALL** web pages or other script-kiddie stuff
I've been using it for many years. I never see ads on any page anywhere unless I allow them manually.
