    Exclamation Gib Adjustment

    Hi !

So here we go again (group)

4020's Z axis is a bit tilting. According to manual Gib Adjustment is needed. Where should i start this ?

When i make a run cross part X dir and move Y 90% of tool dia. and make another run, the closest to Y- is lower than the Y+ side. so the z axis is a bit tilting away from the tower.

How can i correct it ? Witch screw should be adjusted ?

If it is "tilting" front to back then you need to ajust the straps not the gibbs. The Gibbs control the left to right motion. Your maintenance manual has the correct procedure to do this. Also the machine level can affect the machine by creating a twist in the base kn ocking thing out of alighment.

    Cool St

    Staps... hmm

Machine leveling is OK we worked on it at least an hour till it was OK.
Where can i find this straps stuff in manual ????

    Probably its a wear sindrome i guess...(chair)

Straps have two gibbs assy; turn left to tight'm (1/4 socket) also check the 9/16 bolts.
