So i got my Optimum BF20L up and ruining with the factory CNC motor+ball screw kit and now i got fine tuning left.

I've set the speed to 1500mm/min (60 ipm) and 50mm/s (2 in/s) acceleration. I don't see the point of faster feeds considering the 3000rpm spindle but I'm wondering about amping the acceleration. I know "real" machines go 10x of what my setting's are but I'm not trying to set any records here so I'm wondering what would you recommend as a safe and smart maximum for a BF20L / G704 with 4mm ball screws?

Additionally, how many of you use limit switches instead of software soft limits? And if i used inductive sensors for hard limits, should i go for 1.6mm range or 8mm?
