Control Techniques NT series AC servo testing

Is there a way to test the function of a 3 phase AC servo without buying the appropriate drive?

ie - if I introduce 120v across two motor terminals to see if it'll spin will I destroy anything?

The motor in question is an Emerson / Control Technique NTE 345 CONS 0000

No, unfortunately that won't test it, also you need to know the commutation method.
It has three stator windings, if the right commutation were fitted, you could run it as a BLDC.
Either way you need the appropriate drive.
