Alarm,24&34 on Y-axis -only on rapids

    Hi all,
I finally got my Matsuura to do some real machining-W/DNC. Seems as though on the Y-axis I get an intermittent error of Alarm 24 which is a zeroing error. On rare occassion it comes up as an alarm 34 which is a servo error. Has anyone ever encountered such a problem? I pulled the cover on the encoder and all I see is the back of a DC-generator. I am wondering if I should look at the encoder/ dismantle..What would I look for?
    THanks Rob

Our matsuuras occasionally get the zeroing error. Our tech guy said it's just dirty/oily limit switches. Your problem might be similar...?
