Two ways, assuming you're using solids.

    1) create a plate using extrude or box command. Then create a cylinder using the cylinder command. The cylinder should be the size of the hole. Move the cylinder to where you want the hole, and use the subtract command to subtract it from the plate.

    2) draw your plate in 2D and convert it to a region with the region command. Draw a circle where you want the hole. Convert the circle to a region. Subtract the circle region from the plate region. Extrude the remaining region to the thickness you want.

The help file should explain all the commands I mentioned, now that you know what to look for. If you have any other questions, just ask.

If you have any other questions, just ask.[/QUOTE]

I changed my mind, i have 2 more questions (maybe not so easy to answer...)

    1. I have autocad 2007, and when i use copy/paste sometimes the parts that i paste has another angle than the original. And to get it rigth, i need to
try more than 1 time to get it correct, or to change the angle and then paste again... Is this a bug, or can it be something im doing/setup?

    2. same goes for the grid, usualy it stays where it should be. But sometimes it gets messed up, and i know that i didnt rotate anything. Its a bit confusing
when the x y z gets "out of control" without me wanting to...

    1) at the bottom of your screen, toggle the DUCS button (turns off dynamic UCS) Dynamic UCS make it easy to align an object with the face of another object.

    2) Not sure about this one. Can you explain it a little better? As far as I know, the grid can't move.

    2. It happens sometimes when i use "constrained orbit" the thing is that it doesent happen every time... maybe 1 of 30
I cant give you an accurate descripsion of when it happens.
But next time it does, i will go back to exactly when it occours and se if i
can find a situation where it allways will happen. maybe i will be able to describe it then.

    Thanx alot for the help

    2. I didnt find the cause of the problem but i found out how to fix it.
if you see the picture atached, the xyz and the grid is not aligned with the
object. But if i go to wiev and select top wiev, the grid and xyz will be correct. And i can orbit till it happens again.

See the picture before and after i selected top wiev.
